Bozena Jastrzebska
Bozena Jastrzebska has been immersed in painting for as long as she can remember. Her artistic journey began with pastel crayons, progressed through watercolors, and ultimately led to her preferred medium, acrylics. The most prolific period of her career emerged during the coronavirus pandemic, a universally challenging time. During this period, she tragically lost her older brother, an artist who was also her teacher and mentor. From an early age, he nurtured her spatial imagination, imparting his knowledge of drawing, painting, and sculpture.
Nature, particularly landscapes and their seasonal transformations, serves as her primary inspiration. She is especially captivated by vividly colored flowers with unique shapes. Upon confronting a blank canvas, she first envisions colors, which gradually take form and bring the painting to life. Her techniques evolve with the artwork, employing brushes, spatulas, and sponges, as well as unconventional tools like spoons, wooden sticks, and scrubbing brushes to achieve the desired texture. While acrylics are her main medium, she occasionally experiments with watercolors.
Dahyun kim
Dahyun Kim values the process of harmonizing texture, touch, and oil paint through abstract painting. To her, a flat surface is both classic and alluring. The moment the canvas embraces the oil paint with a tight sense of tension, an unimaginable world unfolds. The encounter of physical forces and materials begins a narrative akin to a tug-of-war between fate and adventure. Her work is not merely the application of paint; it is both the scream of a dancer on a canvas and the clamor for silence. Her emotions and rational senses create an imaginative journey that defies capture.
Born in Seoul, Korea, Kim developed a deep love for film at an early age. She majored in literary creation and philosophy at university, completing a master’s degree in film theory and film history. Her exploration of the convergence of art, film, and fine art led her to focus on abstract painting seven years ago. Compelled by an irresistible urge to paint, she found solace and clarity in the process. For Kim, abstraction is a true reflection of herself.

This aesthetic emerges from a desire to visually evoke the process of constructing meaning from experience, serving as the cornerstone around which Ofza’s artistic creation revolves.

For three years, Véjus immersed herself in photographic wanderings with light and nature as her raw materials.

From the visible to the invisible, from the wild soul to the human soul, Véjus captures the essence of the natural world and its connection to the human experience. By the end of 2021, she returned to mainland France.
In her contemporary series “Abrasion,” Véjus combines photography and digital art to break down the spectrum of white light, making the invisible visible. Her series “Dark Light,” created in 2021, immerses viewers in the tropical forest of Guadeloupe National Park, FWI, where light and shadow become matter. Available as four-color prints on transparent plexiglass, these two series reflect her artistic sensibilities.
