Rianne Van Putten

Rianne van Putten is a Dutch visual artist whose practice centers on the quiet beauty found within everyday life. Working across oil, acrylic, watercolor, and drawing, she has cultivated a distinctive figurative language characterized by sensitivity, precision, and an attentive observation of her subjects. Born in 1982 in Haarlem, The Netherlands, van Putten is a self-taught artist based in Apeldoorn, where she has developed her artistic practice over more than twenty-five years.

Her work draws inspiration from the human figure, vintage aesthetics, and the understated elegance of the natural world. Through portraiture and still life, she explores moments of stillness, introspection, and connection, revealing the subtle narratives that emerge through gesture, expression, and form.

Guided by both intuition and close observation, van Putten’s paintings celebrate the poetic qualities of the ordinary. Her work invites viewers into a contemplative space where everyday subjects are transformed through careful attention, conveying a timeless appreciation for beauty, presence, and human experience.
