Vanessa Melloni

Vanessa Melloni is a figurative artist from Frankfurt am Main whose practice has focused on graphite and charcoal since 2021. Through drawing, she explores Greek mythology as a timeless source of imagery, symbolism, and meaning, engaging with narratives that continue to resonate within contemporary culture.

During her studies at the European School of Design in Frankfurt am Main, Melloni developed a strong foundation in academic drawing and art history. She subsequently gained extensive professional experience as an art director and product designer, further shaping her understanding of visual language, composition, and design. She is currently studying art history and philosophy, continuing to deepen the theoretical foundations of her artistic practice.

Through her work, Melloni seeks to bring the cultural heritage of historical art into dialogue with the present. By engaging with classical pictorial traditions through a contemporary perspective, her drawings create a connection between historical imagery and contemporary perception, inviting renewed reflection on the enduring relevance of mythology and artistic heritage.
